Goethe's lookout

Hotel Bílý kůň is one of the most significant buildings in Loket’s town square. The memorial plaque commemorates the frequent stays of Loket's great admirer J. W. Goethe between the years 1807–1823. The hotel includes a wooden terrace with a decoratively carved balustrade from 1823. It was here where Goethe celebrated his 74th birthday in the company of young Ulrika von Levetzow. You can sit here and enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding slopes and the Ohře River.
